A Voice that Matters

Ariel Affirmation Card
"I have a voice that matters. My voice is one of the most valuable tools I possess. It takes courage to speak up for what I believe is right."
“I have a voice that matters. My voice is one of the most valuable tools I possess. It takes courage to speak up for what I believe is right.”

I couldn’t do the affirmation of Ariel’s like I had planned, as I was sick most of last month. Before I begin Aurora’s cards, I thought I would practice the affirmation here.

I have a voice that matters.

No matter how it sounds. No matter how loud.

I literally lost my voice last month. It is hard to use your voice when you sound like you’ve been smoking for two lifetimes.  But it was still mine and it still mattered.

I have a voice that matters.

Even if it goes against the other voices around me.

I am a people pleaser. I don’t want to upset anyone or be an inconvenience. I work every day on being more assertive.

I have a voice that matters.

I am capable of being heard.

I always wondered how Ariel felt when she lost her voice. She couldn’t tell Prince Eric who she was or express her excitement at being human with words. Even when she had her voice under the sea, it took her absence to be heard. But she never stopped pursuing what she wanted. Because she knew her voice mattered. That she mattered.

I have a voice that matters.

Next up: Aurora
