I’m Catie and I’m so glad you have come to visit my blog.

About Me

I’m 32-years-old and I live in Ohio. I am challenged with major depressive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in literature from Ohio Northern University and a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from Chatham University.

About Princessly Poised

The idea for this blog came to me after I bought a $5 Disney Princess calendar. I had known for while that I wanted to combine the Disney heroines I love so much and my ongoing battle with depression somehow.

Each month, the calendar showcased a different princess, and I had one of those lightbulb moments. “What if I choose a different Disney princess to inspire me each month and help me with my depression?! What if I can help others?!”

And I began it with a girl named Snow White.
