Enthusiastic Show and Tell

I know I said I wouldn’t describe myself as an enthusiastic person, and I still don’t, but I do have things in my life that I am enthusiastic about. So, today I’ll share with you something I enjoy enthusiastically: The Ohio Renaissance Festival.

I’ve been going to the Ren Fest since I was a kid (like since age 10?) and I’ve always enjoyed it. I don’t know if it’s because I like dress up or because I’m drawn to romanticized olden times, but I get a welcoming feeling when I go.

And I am enthusiastic in my dress up when I go.

This year I have a season pass because I had different groups of friends that wanted to go at different times, so I’ve been 3 times this year and I might even make it a 4th this weekend (we’ll see). It’s been a whole lot of fun and I’ve spent a whole lot of money. (oops)

My point in sharing this is to remind myself that I can be enthusiastic about things, even though I have depression. Depression doesn’t have to be the one and only thing in my life. I’m more than my condition.

I have a few other things to share with you too, so stay tuned!

P.S. There was a group of ladies dressed up like Disney Princesses! I thought about getting my picture taken with them, but I chickened out. They looked amazing, though, and just goes to show how they are with me all the time.
