This month I decided to go directly to the source and recreate some of my favorite scenes from Cinderella. I’ve never been a fan of getting my photo taken. It has been an insecurity for as long as I can remember. If a costume and a Disney princess is involved, however, I don’t seem to have as much of a problem. Maybe someday I will accept a photo of me as it is. No princessly shield needed. Or photo editing apps. One step at a time.
Cinderella and I have a lot in common (in my personal opinion). We work a lot and have little to show for it, we are more often than not kind to others, we like animals big and small, and a blue skirt does a lot to make us feel transformed. Oh, and glass slippers of course (aka jellies in my case).
