Just Around the Riverbend with Pocahontas

img_7788

Pocahontas, like Ariel, was a major influence of young Catie. I had a Pocahontas bedroom and dressed like her for Halloween. I thought I was her because we both have distinct chin structures, but what I didn’t realize at the time was that my distinct chin structure is rounder, not angular like Pocahontas’ is (why spoil young Catie’s dream of being Pocahontas?). So, I wasn’t too upset when my friend, who helped me with photos this month (thank you, friend!), suggested I move Pocahontas out of chronological Disney Princess order and put her in September so we could go canoeing. Why didn’t I think of that?
